What to Expect

My paddleboarding lessons aim to empower you on a journey to become independent paddlers so you can explore our beautiful blue spaces and connect with nature safely.

Nature heals us and wow do we need a bit of that right now!

The Lessons

I offer two hour paddle boarding taster lessons to get you from kneeling to stand up paddling in a safe environment.You’ll learn the basic techniques to navigate your kit and the water with ease. Book either a 1:1 with me, a private group or join a small group lesson. Once you’ve had a taster lesson you can keep progressing with 1:1 lessons, small group progression lessons or join my hosted river mini adventures.

I work closely with SUP & Soul founder Camilla Todd and between us we have an ethos of meeting you where you are at and supporting your progression with kindness and curiosity. This experience is about YOU and not about comparing your progress with others. Between us we can usually accommodate most requirements.

Nervous or had a bad experience in the past?

As a Blue Health Coach and Integral Eye Movement Therapist, I can offer a bespoke package to help you reframe those old imprints.  Our body sometimes remembers more than we do and it can inhibit our ability to relax on the water. Book a free discovery call to explore this further.

Beginner paddleboard lessons

2 hour Private Taster Lesson

£80
  • Private paddleboarding session with Clare, an ASI qualified and fully insured SUP Instructor and blue health coach
  • We’ll go through all the basics wih a brief land demo and then onto the water.  I’ll get you paddleboarding safely in no time adapting to your needs.
  • Prices include equipment hire, tuition, safety gear and (where applicable) waterway entry fee.
  • 10% discount if you have your own equipment.

2 hour Group Taster Lesson

£60 (package price available)
  • Small groups of no more than 6 people led by me, Clare, an ASI qualified and fully insured SUP Instructor and blue health coach.
  • We’ll go through all the basics with a brief land demo and then onto the water. We will run through the equipment, paddle strokes and get you standing and paddling safely in no time.
  • Prices include equipment hire, tuition, safety gear and (where applicable) waterway entry fee. No discount for own equipment on group lessons.

Progression paddleboard lessons

90 min Private Progression Lesson

  • Private taster paddle boarding session with Clare, an ASI qualified and fully insured SUP Instructor and blue health coach
  • Whether you learnt with me, with someone else, or are self taught these sessions are aimed at refining your technique. Moving you from beginner to intermediate, we can try different waterways and move towards independence on the water.
  • Prices include equipment hire, tuition, safety gear and (where applicable) waterway entry fee.
  • 10% discount if have own equipment

  • Whether you have joined one of my taster session, have learnt elsewhere or are self taught, these sessions are designed to move you forward from beginner to intermediate.
  • Prices include equipment hire, tuition, safety gear and (where applicable) waterway entry fee. No discount on group lessons.

We had the best trip paddleboarding with Clare, it was great fun and very informative. Clare gave us so much information and guidance on paddling on a river safely, launch spots, tide times.

  • Paddle Boarding ~ Whether you are new to paddleboarding or an experienced paddler our paddling sessions are guaranteed to connect you back to nature.  The session is designed to compliment the coaching workshop and take you onto the water to explore our surroundings with a fresh perspective.
  • Wild Swimming ~ Water enables us to move our bodies in a different way, it takes the pressure off, enables us to play with gravity and evokes laughter and joy.  All this helps our nervous system to reset and refresh.  We’ll end the day with a dip to wash away anything that isnt serving us.
