Private Paddleboard Lessons

We teach stand up paddle boarding in private groups of up to 4 people on the Sussex coast & the River Adur but are also mobile around Sussex and Surrey. Our approach is one of kindness and meeting you wherever you are at. Nature is at the core of our ethos and what better way to experience our local blue spaces than by Paddle Board.

Beginner Lessons

  • We’ll go through all the basics wih a brief land demo and then onto the water.  I’ll get you paddleboarding safely in no time adapting to your needs.

Level 2 ASI Instructor & Blue Health Coach

In 2015, when my mum was seriously poorly in hospital, I found solace and strength in the embrace of nature and the tranquility of being on and near the water. Little did I know that this experience would shape my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Leaving behind my corporate job in my mid-40s, I ventured into the great outdoors, becoming an advocate for outdoor adventure and nature connection. Paddle Sports transformed me from someone who believed ‘I am not sporty’ to someone who embraces the thrill of exploration and the wonders of nature.

Through my own journey, I have discovered the profound impact that nature and green and blue spaces have on our well-being. Now, I’m passionate about sharing this realization, inspiring others to step outside, and forging deeper connections with the natural world.

River Trips, hen parties and corporate groups

I work with ROAR Outdoors in Godalming, Surrey to provide upstream trips on the River Wey for larger groups, hen parties and corporate events.

I also run regular monthly SUP Socials for people who can stand or kneel for a few hours and can self rescue.

We had the best trip paddleboarding with Clare, it was great fun and very informative. Clare gave us so much information and guidance on paddling on a river safely, launch spots, tide times.

Clare was my instructor for my beginners lesson in SUP.  She has a real passion for the environment and her energy for being in the outdoors was infectious.
After learning the equipment and safely requirements on shore, we hit the water, for a an hour or so paddling about.
With Clare’s excellent instruction and support I felt totally at ease.
I personally found the experience very tranquil and zen and you certainly feel you’ve had a great core and arm workout once you return to shore.
The whole experience was fantastic and I look forward to having more sessions.

 I booked Clare to take my daughter and myself out on the river Adur for a two hour lesson . Clare is very knowledgeable about the tides and wind and how it will affect paddling . We really enjoyed ourselves but also learned techniques to help our paddling . We both feel more confident to go out on the water with our boards
